call for abstracts March 30, 2012The Canadian Water Network is pleased to announce Assessing pathogen fate, transport and risk in natural and engineered water treatment.

Held at the scenic Banff Centre in beautiful Banff, Alberta from September 23–26, 2012, this exciting conference will include oral and poster presentations, as well as awards for best student presentations and posters. This must-attend event for water researchers, engineers and end users alike will feature roundtable discussions and an international panel discussion addressing research needs.

The goal is to bring together leading water researchers, managers and innovative end users across the regulatory, utility management, private sector and funding spheres.

Abstracts that will comprise the basis for presentations at the conference are welcome.

Abstracts

Abstract submissions are due March 30, 2012 and authors will be notified of acceptance by April 30, 2012.

Location and venue

Assessing pathogen fate, transport and risk in natural and engineered water treatment will be held at the Banff Centre in Banff, Alberta. Located in the heart of Banff National Park, amidst the splendor of the Canadian Rockies, Banff is a premier destination in Canada.

Banff is about one hour from Calgary International Airport. The Banff Airporter is the official airport shuttle provider of the Banff Centre and the best way to get to and from Calgary Airport. The Airporter offers 12 daily departures between Calgary Airport and the Banff Centre.

Accommodations

Accommodation will be available on site at a special conference rate. Rooms will be available in both the Banff Centre’s Professional Development Centre and Lloyd Hall.
